My art style is characterized by life images, using oil, pastel, acrylic, and graphite. I love to observe how light is captured, and use value to create form.
About the artist.
Barbara Holmes Fryefield has been honing her skills in fine art for the past forty years. Originally a portrait painter, Barbara blended her drawing skills with painting studying old masters technique of applying paint in layers.
Barbara studied at the University of North Florida, and the Art Students League in New York.
Barbara's evolution to painting allowed her to introduce multi mediums to this union and extended the range of her talent even further. Her skill of observation allows Barbara to challenge the boundaries of painting utilizing composition, light, and value to her paintings in oil, acrylic, pastel, graphite.
